    Hi all!

Please let me know if this link works for you to access the audio recording from last night. I am so sorry to report that my phone stopped recording after the first hour and 7 minutes. I am happy to share notes with anyone who is interested on what was not captured in the audio.

Struck by this from Making Waves: “1965: Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) organizes 15,000-25,000 people in D.C. in a march to protest bombings in Vietnam.”
In response to this radio program: http://archive.kpfk.org/ – Connect the Dots from 2.22.16 in which David Swanson articulates the increase of war under the Obama administration in the last 5 years. War is conveniently renamed as Overseas (something) Operations (I’ve been researching the term Swanson used and can’t find it…). War is not NAMED “war.”
The destruction of US war harms not only those in war zones, innocent civilians including children as in the recent school and hospital strikes in Syria (http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2016/02/raids-hospitals-schools-kill-50-syria-160215181233001.html), but also US soldiers AND the environment. Here is an article I just read on the matter: http://warisacrime.org/blog/1568
As we continue to study culture, politics, perception, media, intent, and impact, I wonder what strategies and tactics might provide a meaningful intervention in the kind of harm our government has been perpetuating for decades?
